- Project Description:
The trainee is required to formulate a complete cosmetic product, starting with designing the formulation and preparing the sample, moving on to drafting the technical data sheet, and concluding with delivering a professional presentation of the project before an academic committee.
- Project Objectives:
- Enable the trainee to apply theoretical knowledge in formulating and developing cosmetic products.
- Enhance skills in selecting raw materials and identifying their physiological and cosmetic properties.
- Provide training in applying Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and laboratory safety standards.
- Develop a practical cosmetic product that meets market needs and complies with quality standards.
- Prepare the trainee to present the project professionally before an academic or industrial evaluation committee.
- Trainee Tasks:
- Select a cosmetic product idea (skin – hair – fragrance – personal care).
- Collect scientific information on the raw materials used and their cosmetic functions.
- Design a preliminary formulation of the product.
- Conduct initial tests to evaluate product stability and quality.
- Prepare a quality control plan that includes safety and efficacy standards.
- Develop an initial marketing concept defining the target audience and distribution channels.
- Prepare a written report and a presentation plan summarizing the development stages and results.
