The Medical and Health Professions Authority
The Medical and Health Professions Authority is an Egyptian national professional institution registered with the Ministry of Social Solidarity in accordance with the provisions of Law No. (149) of 2019 regarding the regulation of civil work.
It operates across all governorates of the Republic without exception. The Authority aims to regulate and develop medical and health professions in the Arab Republic of Egypt and to enhance the professional and scientific efficiency of its workers through accredited training programs, scientific conferences, and specialized seminars that contribute to supporting professional performance and developing the technical capabilities of health sector employees.
The Authority commenced its official activities in March 2024 and, within a short period, succeeded in organizing extensive professional events and providing multiple services to its members, including:
- Legal and administrative support for members, and facilitating professional practice licenses.
- Insurance services, change of employment status, and international travel.
- Organizing scholarships and accredited specialized courses.
The Authority operates in a spirit of partnership with the General Syndicates of Medical Professions and in cooperation with state institutions to achieve an integrated professional and health umbrella that enhances the quality of health services and upgrades national competencies in the medical and health sectors.
