Board of Trustees (BOT)
The Board of Trustees is the highest governing authority responsible for the overall governance of the Academy and for guiding its strategic vision. It ensures the continuity of quality and compliance with international standards in education and training. The Board consists of distinguished academic and professional figures and serves as the supreme institutional reference for all executive and academic units.
Main Responsibilities:

- Approving the vision, mission, and long-term strategic objectives.
- Reviewing and approving the Academy’s general plans and policies.
- Monitoring institutional and academic performance indicators and ensuring alignment with international standards.
- Approving international partnerships and major agreements.
- Reviewing periodic reports from executive and academic management.
- Recommending major amendments to the organizational structure or strategic direction.
- Selecting or approving the appointment of senior executive leaders (such as the CEO and Vice President for Academic Affairs).
- Supporting high-level relations with government entities, accreditation bodies, and international academic institutions.

Chief Executive Officer (CEO)
The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) holds the top leadership position at Midmak International Academy as the first executive and academic authority. The CEO combines institutional management with senior academic leadership and is directly responsible for implementing the strategy, ensuring the quality of training programs, and integrating academic and administrative operations across all branches of the Academy in Syria and abroad.
Main Responsibilities:

- Leading the Academy at both the executive and academic levels and supervising approved plans and programs.
- Representing the Academy before international partners and academic and professional accreditation bodies.
- Direct supervision of the development of academic programs and training pathways, ensuring alignment with the requirements of the American Board and international standards.
- Full coordination between executive and academic administration, ensuring institutional alignment and coherence.
- Directing and managing executive and academic teams and monitoring their performance.
- Approving recommendations issued by advisory units and developing implementation plans for institutional transformation.
- Overseeing the total quality management system and ensuring the Academy’s compliance with ISO 21001 standards.
- Developing high-level relationships and negotiating cooperation and partnership agreements.

Chief Operating Officer (COO)
The Chief Operating Officer leads the operational and administrative level of Midmak International Academy. The COO oversees the daily functioning of all support departments and works to translate strategic plans into effective operational procedures that ensure execution quality and resource efficiency.
Main Responsibilities:

- Managing and monitoring the daily operational and administrative performance of all institutional support units.
- Implementing operational plans approved by the CEO and achieving institutional objectives.
- Coordinating between administrative, financial, logistical, and technical units to ensure smooth workflow.
- Preparing periodic operational reports and submitting them to senior management.
- Monitoring the implementation of institutional policies and regulatory procedures.
- Supporting digital transformation and institutional development efforts in cooperation with the E-Learning Unit.
- Leading emergency plans and institutional risk management.
- Supervising human resources management and internal competency development.
- Monitoring departmental budget execution and ensuring compliance with approved budgets.

Vice President for Academic Affairs (Provost) (VPA)
The Vice President for Academic Affairs is the highest academic leader after the CEO and is responsible for implementing academic policies and ensuring quality and excellence in educational and training programs. The Provost oversees all academic departments and coordinates between training sectors, scientific councils, and quality units.
Main Responsibilities:

- Full supervision of the design, implementation, and evaluation of academic and training programs.
- Ensuring alignment of programs with international standards and accreditation requirements, such as ISO 21001 and the American Board.
- Leading curriculum development and updating training materials in coordination with different sectors.
- Monitoring the performance of academic and training staff and approving trainers.
- Managing practical training and formative assessment systems to ensure measurable learning outcomes.
- Supervising the preparation of research studies and academic/professional reports.
- Developing e-learning and blended learning plans in line with digital transformation.
- Chairing permanent academic committees (Curriculum, Examinations, Assessment, Quality).
- Continuous coordination with each training sector head to ensure integration of vision, content, and outcomes.

Responsibilities of Sector Heads:
Each Sector Head leads a specialized executive function within their respective sector, ensuring alignment with the Academy’s overall vision and achieving the highest standards of academic and training efficiency.

- Preparing and implementing the annual training plan for the sector in coordination with the Academic Administration.
- Monitoring the implementation of specialized programs and diplomas, and ensuring compliance with approved schedules and content.
- Continuous coordination with the Curriculum and Content Unit to update and develop training materials based on competency-based standards.
- Supervising trainers within the sector and evaluating their performance according to defined performance indicators.
- Conducting periodic evaluations of programs and submitting academic and developmental recommendations.
- Preparing analytical reports on program outcomes, training outputs, and trainee satisfaction levels.
- Analyzing training market needs within the specialization and proposing new initiatives to expand qualification pathways.
- Strengthening communication with relevant professional and sectoral institutions to enhance integration of practical training opportunities.
- Supporting academic accreditation efforts through documentation of training performance and compliance with standards.
- Supervising the development of graduation projects or applied research conducted by trainees in advanced sectors.

E-Learning & Digital Transformation Unit (EDX)
The Institutional Innovation and Support Units constitute the backbone of sustainable development at Midmak International Academy. They are designed to enhance operational efficiency, accelerate digital transformation, and achieve leadership in research, innovation, and quality. These units operate under the direct supervision of executive management and are fully integrated with academic, operational, and sectoral departments.

- Coordinating with international accreditation bodies such as the American Board.

Midmak International Academy places significant importance on global expansion and strengthening its presence in the international educational and professional landscape through its official offices and accredited partnerships worldwide. International representation is directly supervised by the International Relations Unit, in coordination with the Academy’s executive presidency.

Midmak Australia Office (AUB)
- The official accredited headquarters of the Academy outside Syria, responsible for implementing international programs in coordination with the main headquarters.
- Responsible for providing administrative and technical support for programs delivered in English.
- Manages international registration procedures and coordinates communication with Australian government entities and universities.
- Oversees joint programs with the American Board and international academic institutions.

University Support Office in Syria (SUS)
- This office is considered a vital component of the Academy’s local representation system in Syria and is dedicated to strengthening direct engagement with Syrian universities and the local academic community.
- Provides academic support services, career guidance, and training consultancy for university students and graduates.
- Organizes awareness activities related to internationally accredited training programs and facilitates student participation in Academy programs.
- Coordinates with public and private universities to establish cooperation and twinning agreements in joint training, applied research, and academic initiatives.
- Manages the implementation of pre-graduation qualification projects for final-year students (Pre-Graduate Training Pathways), in alignment with American Board requirements.
- Supervises institutional examinations within universities, as well as registration and academic follow-up procedures for trainees.
- Serves as an effective liaison between the Academy and students, faculty members, and training and development departments within Syrian universities, acting as a bridge between the Academy and the local academic community.

International Relations & Joint Accreditation Management Unit (IAC)
- Coordinates with international accreditation bodies such as the American Board, ISO, and global universities and professional institutions.
- Manages official licensing for training programs delivered in collaboration with partners.
- Represents the Academy in international conferences and global events.
- Develops bilateral agreements and professional networks with international academic institutions.
