From Trust to International Accreditation…
Dr. Elias Rizkallah Aoun’s Experience with Midmak International Academy
By Dr. Elias Rizkallah Aoun
There are professional experiences that cannot be measured solely by the number of years or the programs in which we have participated. Rather, their true value lies in the knowledge they add to our experience, the opportunities for growth they provide, and the impact they leave on our professional journey.
From this perspective, I can describe my experience with Midmak International Academy as one of the professional experiences that has added significantly to my career—whether through the practice of training, the development of my professional skills and tools, or the broadening of my perspective on the role of a trainer—culminating in a new milestone: obtaining accreditation from the American Board for Medical and Health Specialties – California as an internationally accredited trainer.
More Than a Year and a Half of Work and Development
For more than a year and a half, I have been part of the Midmak International Academy team as a Certified Expert Trainer. During this period, my relationship with the Academy was not merely that of a trainer working with a training institution; rather, it was a professional experience founded on collaboration and continuous development.
The Academy provided me with opportunities to participate in training activities, interact with trainees from diverse backgrounds and experiences, and exchange expertise with a group of trainers and specialists. This experience helped me develop my training approach and view professional training from a broader and more comprehensive perspective.
In its modern concept, training is not limited to transferring information. It requires the ability to transform knowledge and experience into practical, applicable skills and to help trainees move from theoretical knowledge to professional practice.
This particular aspect was one of the most valuable contributions of my experience with Midmak International Academy.
When an Institution Believes in Its Trainers
One of the aspects I particularly value about my experience with the Academy is that its attention was not focused solely on the programs delivered by the trainer, but also extended to the trainer himself and his professional development and career.
I found in the Academy an environment that encourages continuous development, motivates trainers to review and refine their professional tools, and gives them the opportunity to benefit from their experience while continuing to develop it.
The follow-up, guidance, and support I received throughout this period also strengthened my conviction that a trainer is not merely an implementer of a training program, but an essential part of the competency-building system that the Academy seeks to develop.
In my view, a successful training institution is one that does not merely recruit experienced professionals, but also recognizes their potential, develops their capabilities, and supports their progression toward higher professional levels.
The Academy’s Role in Reaching International Accreditation
One of the important milestones in this experience was Midmak International Academy’s role in supporting, preparing, and nominating me to obtain accreditation from the American Board for Medical and Health Specialties – California as an internationally accredited trainer.
I believe that this step did not come independently of the professional journey I had undertaken during my work with the Academy. Rather, it came as a natural progression resulting from the accumulation of experience, practical training, and continuous professional development.
The support provided by the Academy, together with my previous experience and ongoing training practice, contributed to strengthening my readiness to reach this stage.
Most importantly, the nomination for accreditation came as an extension of an established professional journey, rather than as an achievement separate from the experience itself.
International Accreditation… A New Responsibility
Obtaining international accreditation as a trainer undoubtedly represents an important milestone in my professional career. However, above all, I see it as a new responsibility.
Accreditation should not be merely an additional credential on a résumé. Rather, it should serve as a motivation to continue learning and developing, enhance the quality of training content, remain committed to providing practical and applicable professional knowledge, and contribute to building competencies capable of developing themselves, their institutions, and their communities.
Furthermore, this accreditation will strengthen my presence and role as a Certified Expert Trainer with Midmak International Academy, support my continued participation in its training programs and initiatives, and enable me to contribute my expertise within a broader professional framework and from an international perspective.
I consider the coming stage an even greater opportunity to continue working with the Academy, contribute to its programs, exchange expertise, and provide added value to the trainees who join its professional pathways.
What Has Midmak Added to My Experience?
If I were to summarize what Midmak International Academy has added to my professional experience throughout this journey, I would say:
It added practice to experience, development to practice, and an opportunity for international accreditation to development.
The knowledge and experience a trainer possesses require a professional environment that enables him to apply and further develop them, while giving him the opportunity to test his professional tools, learn from his experiences, and interact with others.
This is what I found in my experience with the Academy.
This experience helped me develop my understanding of training as an integrated process for building competencies. It also helped me recognize that a trainer’s success is not measured solely by his ability to deliver information, but by his ability to create meaningful and tangible improvements in the trainee’s knowledge and skills.
Toward a New Stage of Professional Work
Today, having obtained accreditation from the American Board for Medical and Health Specialties – California as an internationally accredited trainer, I see myself entering a new stage in my professional journey.
A stage in which I aspire to continue developing myself, expanding my expertise, contributing more actively to the programs of Midmak International Academy, and supporting its mission of building competencies, developing skills, and advancing professional training.
I would like to express my sincere appreciation to the management of Midmak International Academy and its Scientific Council for the trust they have placed in me, for their support and follow-up, and for their belief in the importance of investing in trainers and supporting their professional development.
I am also proud to have been, and to remain, part of the Academy’s team of trainers, and grateful that this experience has enriched my professional journey and enabled me to move toward a new level of accreditation and professional presence.
A Final Word
I believe that professional success is not created by the individual alone, nor by the institution alone; rather, it is created through a genuine partnership between the individual and a professional environment that believes in his capabilities and provides him with opportunities to grow.
In my experience with Midmak International Academy, I found this kind of partnership: an experience that began with trust and work, developed through practice and support, and ultimately reached the milestone of international accreditation.
I look forward to this milestone becoming the beginning of a new stage of contribution and collaboration, and to continuing with Midmak International Academy on its journey of building competencies, transferring expertise, and creating a genuine professional impact.
Accreditation validates competence, but the true value of competence is revealed through the impact we create with it.
