A PhD holder in Arabic Language and a distinguished academic expert in modern educational strategies, she brings over twenty years of professional experience in developing university curricula and ensuring academic quality standards. She is an official examiner with the American Council on the Teaching of Foreign Languages (ACTFL) and a specialist in international proficiency standards. She has collaborated with leading global universities, including Yale University and the University of Maryland.
Dr. Barakat has led pioneering educational initiatives such as the “Flagship” Program in Syria and currently serves as Chair of the American Board in Syria and Vice President of the American Open University. She is the founder of an intellectual initiative aimed at linking academic education with advanced professional qualification, empowering institutions and individuals in accordance with the highest international standards.
