Midmak International Academy Holds a Meeting to Develop Professional Programs for the Legal Sector
As part of Midmak International Academy’s efforts to expand its professional training ecosystem and develop specialized programs that respond to the needs of different sectors, the Academy held a meeting with the Legal Sector Team to discuss opportunities for developing and launching specialized professional training programs in the legal field.
The meeting was attended by Dr. Majed Al-Hamwi and Mr. Hassan Al-Shammat, Member of the Scientific Council of the American Board. Discussions focused on developing an integrated plan for professional programs that could be designed and launched within the Legal Sector, including the possibility of offering them with accreditation from the American Board, in accordance with applicable professional frameworks and standards.
A key focus of the meeting was identifying and defining the needs of the legal sector, including examining professional and skills gaps among law graduates, practitioners, and professionals currently active in the labor market. The objective is to develop programs tailored to the needs of each group, supporting graduates as they transition into professional practice while providing opportunities for practicing professionals to enhance their skills and areas of specialization.
The meeting also highlighted the importance of leveraging Dr. Majed Al-Hamwi’s academic and professional experience, particularly his teaching experience at American universities. Discussions explored how this expertise could contribute to developing program content and methodologies while benefiting from academic and professional practices within the American educational and legal environment.
Participants emphasized the importance of ensuring that the proposed programs extend beyond theoretical knowledge and focus on building practical legal skills and competencies, thereby enhancing graduates’ professional readiness and supporting continuous professional development for practitioners and legal professionals.
The meeting forms part of Midmak International Academy’s approach to developing specialized training ecosystems for individual sectors, beginning with a thorough assessment of sector needs and professional gaps and progressing toward the design of high-quality programs closely connected to professional practice.
The Academy continues to collaborate with experts and specialists across different sectors to develop an integrated professional program map, with plans to launch a range of specialized legal programs in the coming period, in line with its vision of developing skills, building professional competencies, and aligning training with labor market needs.
